Serial Number Maintenance

This function is critical component of the EPC encoding logic. It enables a Serial number counter to be established for every GTIN that will have an EPC created for it. Every time an EPC request is generated, the next serial is incremented and used in the EPC encoding scheme –or- tag numbering schema. This function is also useful for ensuring uniqueness of TagNet generated closed loop tags.

	Type
	The type of counter being maintained, either GENERIC, GTIN or GLN

	Item
	The Item ID that the serial number is associated with

	Serial Number
	The last serial number used. Note: unless a starting serial number is entered this value will be zero

	Add
	Adds the Serial Number to the system

	Reset
	Clears all input fields
