Tag Event Viewer

This Inquiry function enables viewing of RFID tag events from a historical perspective or optionally in ‘real-time’ mode as they occur. This basically takes Tag Event logging data and displays it based on the parameters you specify in the header selection section (detailed below). In order for this to display ‘real-time’ tag event data you must have at least one reader schedule active and running. Suggested usage would be:

üFor access control to visually identify and validate an employee/visitor as they walk through an entrance or exit point. This could also include tagged assets that they are carrying                     them on or about their person.

üFor a Foreman in a shipping office to monitor shipments as they are loaded unto trailers or shipped from yard.

üTo search for events for a given Reader location and/or specific Product.

üTo assist in portal configuration by indicating when tags can be read and when they cannot (e.g. what distance, orientation, speed, direction, etc.).

Location ID

The Logical Reader location that you want to filter on, if left blank all locations will be considered

Date & Time

The date & time you wish to optionally filter on in MM/DD/YY & HH:MM:SS format. Shows all tag events GE time specified.

Summarize By

A dropdown selection of (3) values as described below. There could be literally hundreds of reads for the same TagID if the portal has been setup to read continually. This allows easy viewing of all the last occurrence of a given Event.

ØNone – no summarization is done, every tag read is displayed based on the other filters mentioned above.

ØContainer – will only display the last read event for a given container ID shared across many different Tag ID’s when Auto Refresh = YES.  When Auto Refresh = NO, summarizes but does not look at that time difference below displaying a maximum of  records as defined in System Settings.

ØTag - will only display the last read event for a given Tag ID when Auto Refresh = YES.  When Auto Refresh  = NO, summarizes but does not look at that time difference below displaying the maximum records.

Item Number

Item Number as defined in TagNet Product Master, if left blank all products will be considered

Refresh

A dropdown selection of (2) values as described below:

ØNO – Static search, every tag read is displayed based on the other filters mentioned above.

ØYES – when selected automatically refreshes the event viewer page based on the refresh time entered below.

Delay

The time in seconds that the event viewer should be refreshed showing new and/or dropped events. Selecting the correct value is a balance between wanting to see new events and recognizing them and dropping off older reads where those events have been recognized. Note: do not select a delay > Retention time or you will see nothing.

Retention

The time in seconds that new events will continue to display on the event viewer

Image Thumbnail

If image capture is configured for the physical reader, the picture taken during that tag event will be displayed here. Clicking on the thumbnail will enlarge it.

Employee Thumbnail

The image associated with the TagNet Employee Profile. This is a hotspot and can be clicked to navigate to the Employee details page.

TMOVE Rule

The TMOVE  (Tag Movement) rule as configured. This does not change inventory in any way but just a records a meaningful descriptor to the nature of the movement (e.g. asset has left room, arrived, checked-out etc.).
