Asset Master Maintenance

The maintenance of Assets is pretty straightforward. Prior to adding these you must have completed your Category and Base Item setups. Additionally, agree upon a naming nomenclature for your Asset ID’s within your organization if you haven’t already.

Position to

There are multiple ways to search for Assets as listed below. Enter a search value appropriate to what you are looking for and click the appropriate radio button.

Asset - Entering a partial or full Asset ID will display those matches in the list

Item- This is the base reference Item that every asset is linked to. For example if interested in all assets that refer to the base Lenovo Laptop Model T450s. entering that base will display those matches in the list

Serial- Entering a partial or full Serial Number will display those matches in the list

UDA- User Defined Attributes (UDA's for short) enable customers to associate any data with a given asset. Review the UDA Search topic to learn more how this feature is used to retrieve assets matching a given value.

	UDA Selection
	This is used in conjunction with the UDA search value in Reference Point #1. Review the UDA Search topic to learn more how this feature is used to retrieve assets matching a given value.

	Search
	Click this button to initiate a search based on the entered value. Note the [Enter] key will also accomplish the same thing.

	Reset
	Clicking this button will reset the page and clear all previous search values, it will position the list to the first alphabetical Asset ID

	Next Page
	Pages forward to the next page

	Add/Create
	Enables creating of new Asset ID from scratch

	Settings
	This function enables settings related to creating assets. Click here for details on what values this function enables

	Asset Profile
	This list entry indicates an occurrence of an Asset Master definition

Action Links

These hyper-links perform the following functions (click each one to jump to that section)

Change	Change properties for a given Asset profile
Copy	Copy an existing Asset profile as a quick way to create a similar profile
Delete	Removes the Asset profile from the system
View	Allows inquiry mode only on the Asset profile
